Chief Financial Officer

Exceptional and rare opportunity for an experienced professional with a growing senior care provider.

As a result of the pending family relocation of current top executive, Valley Health Services, which operates a 160 bed nursing home with an outpatient rehabilitation department two medical model adult day health care programs, and will soon open a 48 bed adult care facility consisting of 36 ALP beds and 12 enriched housing beds, is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable professional to assume the CFO position in the organization. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will oversee and direct all financial operations of the organization and work beside the CEO for all strategic planning initiatives. The CFO will be responsible for the management and operation of an 8 person business office which handles, among other matters, billing, payroll, accounts receivable, payables, and resident personal fund accounts. Job responsibilities include oversight and management of all fiscal operations including, but not limited to, billing; revenue and expense management; creation of monthly financial reports and annual operating budgets; completion of annual cost reports; coordination of all audits; presentation of financial reports and financial operations at regularly scheduled Board meetings; and management of all banking and investments. The ideal candidate will have solid financial experience in healthcare operations, particularly long term care and have strong interpersonal skills, high integrity and leadership ability.

Candidates must possess a bachelors degree in accounting or related field with a masters degree in accounting or related field preferred. A CPA is highly desirable. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in senior level financial operations in the healthcare field, directly in long term care preferred. Experience in a nonprofit environment is desirable. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of long term care reimbursement and funding in New York State, Medicare Part A and Part B reimbursement and managed care. Candidates must have strong computer skills and a passion for serving seniors.
